PTO

In 2024 our Carglass® CGN Triathlon will also belong to the World Ranking System (WRS) of the Professional Triathlon Organization (PTO) for the first time.

This means that national and international pro triathletes can collect points at our bronze event for the world ranking. The PTO WRS points allocation is split across three aspects:

  • 40% race position
  • 30% strength of field (SOF)
  • 30% race time of the athletes

Thus we are one of just five German events – and thereof the sole without any series affiliation to be listed in the PTO world ranking.

German national and regional federations, DTU & NRWTV

Since the initiation of our city triathlon in downtown Cologne in 2019 we have been collaborating with the triathlon federation.

Our Carglass® CGN Triathlon is again an officially approved and certified race by the German triathlon union, the Deutsche Triathlon-Union (DTU) and its regional federation, the Landesverband NRWTV.

After only two editions we already organize Germany’s third biggest triathlon and the biggest in our Bundesland NRW.

Registration as a pro

Would you like to join our race, the Carglass® CGN Triathlon, as a pro please send us an email to our triathlon manger Friederike.

You will then receive a corresponding voucher for your registration.

The official deadline will be August 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

The middle distance will start on September 8, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.

In 2023 I started into my first pro season and the Carglass® CGN Triathlon as a home race was no doubt an absolute highlight! An unbelievable atmosphere on and along the course, swimming in the river Rhine and finally the victory on the middle distance made the race unforgettable for me! I am looking forward to participating again this year and I will try to give my best to defend the title here at home!

A fantastic atmosphere, a beautiful course and friendly volunteers make the race attractive and should be on the must do list of every triathlete!
